This privacy policy explains how SAE (“we” or “us”) use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information and procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy. This includes how we collect, handle and process the personal information that you provide to us.

We acknowledge and agree that any personal data of yours that we handle will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will not collect any information about individuals, except where it is specifically and knowingly provided by them, for example, when you apply for a role with us or when you ask to be added to our mailing list.

We rely on your consent to gather, process, store, evaluate and dispose of your personal data.

If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

You are not required to provide any personal information on any areas of the website. However, you may choose to provide us with personal data about yourself, for example your name, postal address, email address, telephone number and/or other information regarding your preferences. If you are applying for a role with SAE you may provide your occupation/training and education history, information for a criminal records check (only where relevant for specific roles) and details for reference checks. Personal data submitted will be used to allow us, our employees, agents, consultants and sub-contractors to process your request or application for business purposes and for other purposes for which you give your consent, for example, to send you information on news, publications, seminars and events.

We will not transfer your personal data to any third parties other than to our agents, consultants and sub-contractors who assist us in running this website and related services, and who are subject to security and confidentiality obligations.

We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purpose of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

We will keep your information confidential and secure and use it in accordance with our internal procedures covering the storage, access and disclosure of information, and all applicable laws.

If you are applying for a job with SAE, personal information will have been provided, or will be, provided by you or a third party who we work with, such as a recruitment agency. In the case of references, these will be from your previous employers with details provided by you.

It is standard practice that job offers will be on the condition of a satisfactory reference, and any other background checks appropriate for the role. You will be made aware of all background checks conducted and information gathered will be subject to the processes outlined in this and other data protection policies.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will not disclose your personal information to anyone outside of the SAE group except when we are required to do so by law such as to comply with a legal process or regulatory obligation.

TRANSFER OF INFORMATION ABROAD

We may have to pass your information to people employed by SAE entities which are based outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Any transfer of documentation containing personal information will be done securely and in a way that minimises the likelihood of a data breach.

OUR USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER INFORMATION-GATHERING TECHNOLOGIES

WHERE DO WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

All the information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. The security of these servers is monitored and reviewed by our Head of IT and IT suppliers.

HOW LONG WILL WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

For recruitment, we will store all information provided by you for a maximum of 12 months after the recruitment for the position has been completed, this is for compliance purposes. Should we intend to hold your personal information for the purposes of future recruitment rounds, we will obtain your consent to do so.

If you have asked to appear on our mailing list, we will retain your information until you advise us otherwise. If you have made a general enquiry we will retain your information for 12 months.

HOW DO WE STORE INFORMATION PROVIDED SPECULATIVELY?

If we receive an unsolicited CV, we will store the personal information for a period of 12 months.

YOUR RIGHTS

  • You have the right at any time to ask for a copy of the information about you that we hold and we will not charge a fee for such requests.
  • In addition to this right of access, you will also have the following rights: erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.

UPDATING YOUR DETAILS
